The Compliance Analyst is responsible for reviewing tenant files for section 42 compliance, preparing detailed reports and working directly with property managers to resolve findings.
Role
This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with regulations, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Success in this role means producing clean, accurate reports with minimal supervisory supervision.
Primary Responsibilities
- Use of Spectrum’s proprietary software
- Review tenant and applicant files for compliance with the Section 42 LIHTC program
- Prepare written compliance reports with clear findings and corrective guidance
- Ongoing communication with customers to inform them on progress and findings
- Attention to detail means maintaining a low personal error rate while meeting client deadlines
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attend training(s) regarding the LIHTC program (at least annually)
- Learn federal, state and local compliance and specific client requirements
- Assist in updating website reference materials, write and provide additional concepts for the company blog
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong computer skills including internet searches, email, Word, Excel
- Must be an independent, highly organized, motivated, and resourceful person with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong mathematical skills
- High attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ Years in LIHTC compliance
- Industry trainings & Certificates (C3P, HCCP, COS, etc.)
- Experience with state agency compliance manuals, IRS forms and guides
- Experience with HUD 4350.3 handbook

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive pay, varies based on experience
- PTO: 18 days, then increases by 5 days after 5 and 10 years
