We’re Hiring! Become a Compliance Analyst at Spectrum Enterprises
Spectrum Enterprises Inc. specializes in compliance oversight for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. We provide a wide range of services, including document analysis, tenant file reviews, application pre-approvals, staff training, and site inspections of previously certified low-income housing units. With a national client base that includes state housing agencies, investors, developers, and property management companies, Spectrum Enterprises plays a key role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of affordable housing programs across the country.
We are currently seeking two Compliance Analysts to join our Private Monitoring division. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for individuals with experience in LIHTC compliance or a strong willingness to learn and grow in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Tenant & Applicant Files: Use Spectrum’s proprietary software to review eligibility for the Section 42 LIHTC program; compile and generate audit/review reports after reviewing .pdf files from clients.
- Meet Deadlines: Ensure all client deadlines are met based on the services being performed.
- Training & Development: Attend annual LIHTC program training and other required meetings or trainings.
- Work in a Network Environment: Download, archive, and organize files by date of review; proficiently use a Windows operating system PC and Microsoft applications, including Email, Excel, and Word.
- Compliance Research & Advisory: Stay current on federal, state, and local compliance regulations; research and advise clients on best practices.
- Task Management: Review applicable trackers for deadlines, update completed work on shared worklists, and collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Team Support: Assist team members during their absences (e.g., PTO) and proactively complete tasks ahead of schedule when possible.
- Contribute to Company Resources: Assist in updating website reference materials and provide concepts for blog content.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in LIHTC compliance analysis or a strong understanding of affordable housing regulations (familiarity with Section 42 preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email) and experience using Windows-based software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to learn new software tools and stay up-to-date on regulatory changes.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
